I am a small company and I am the only one on my account right now.
I some how managed to figure out how to set myself up but now need to add another user.
I found a site where I can add a new user but after entering her email and name it says user already exists.
I am a small company and only have myself listed as user. I want to add a new user and giver her access to download Microstation Powerdraft V8i.
Not sure how to go about doing this.

I am using Carlson Survey OEM We have a client that uses Microstation and is requesting our dwg to be exported to a dgn. In the export DGN settings window, it asks for the "seed file". I found an example 2d seed file in the Google Earth Pro folder, but have no idea what this is.I have been searching the internet and find plenty of importing dgn to dwg, but not the other way. Can someone please help?

Any experienced Microstation V8 XM users here? Apparently the nVidia 7300LE 128MB PCIex cards that came with my Dell workstations don't provide enough power to have a couple of Microstation instances open at the same time without massive slow down.I talked to a Bentley tech and they said it was a problem with having too little graphics memory. I believe these 7300LE's share system RAM (2GB) so I think there should be enough, but that's what the Bentley tech said.So I'm looking for a budget card to replace the 7300LE's with. Right now I'm looking at the 8800GTS 320MB or the 9600GT 512MB, both around $150.Any recommendations?

Is there a way to determine which Model in a drawing is the default/master model (the one that cannot be deleted)? For example, if I have a drawing with 20 Design Models that all contain a similar Name and no descriptions, I cannot tell which one is Default.
I know that you can highlight a model and then move down the list until the delete icon is greyed out to determine which one is default but unfortunately this is not very efficient when you are dealing with a ton of drawings that contain roughly 20 models or so.
I am using MicroStation V8i. Any information is greatly appreciated.
I've got an issue with Microstation V8i.
Microstation isn't responding when I'm trying to select elements in sheet space.
It's only happening when I'm using the "drag" or "bloc" selection tool. I got to wait couple of minutes before il clear or close the drawing.
My computer have been all clean with Ccleaner. I've got 32 go of ram and a recent computer able to run Civil 3D.
Please help me!

I am using V8i and work only in 2D.
Explanation:
Ever since I started using my new laptop at work, my line colors will change. Hovering over a line will highlight yellow to select it like normal. If I move my cursor away from the line it will change colors until I use "Fit View." White lines do not change, but all other colors do (ex: red to blue & blue to red). It is only a display issue, all the properties stay the same.
Question:
Does anyone have information on why the display colors would change from just hovering over a line?

I have a user that just received a new Dell laptop with Microstation V8i (Select series 2) version 08.11.07.443.
The issue is when she uses the Place Fence command the mouse pointer turns from white to a black crosshair. So far, it only happens when that command is being used. I have checked in the design file and workspace prefs, but do not see an option to change that color. Has anyone else had this issue and how to fix?

Since the release of the connect edition i have filed several defects to Bentley ( what is normal). A few of these defects are 3D solid modeling functions that work fine in v8i and do not work in the connect edition.
For example, modifiy solid entity.
place a slab
use the draw on solid offset option and make an offset of the top plane
use the modify solid entity face tool and try to push the inside of the offset completely trough the solid --> impossible.
same issues with the modify solid entity point tool, strange behavior.
in general working with connect edition software is also slow, comparing for example loading of Aecosim Catalogs on v8i and connect. loading in connect is slower. (working on a new hp z-book )
Bentley should prioritize bug solving based on importance and not based on the number of tickets logged.

I am supposed to clean up some drawings, there is an unused level shown: per example. I cannot delete in the level manager, find with the power selector. Not sure how to do a purge.. I made sure it was not selected to plot and that it was not locked.
As shown there is a 6 in the example, not advanced enough to know how to remove

i set up the standards checker to check my drawing levels comply with the project dgnlib files
i ran the programme and noticed the same level kept coming up as an error
i deleted the rouge level, compressed & saved settings. on re-entering the rouge level it was back.
the rouge level was not listed as a dgnlib file level
despite that on checking the dgnlib files themselves the rouge level is present in all of them
when i delete the rouge level, compressed & saved settings. the rouge level is back on re-entering the file
i don't know what else to try, any suggestions?

I got the email announcement for the next MicroStation V8i SIG webinar. These are will done and I usually attend if I am able.
I'm curious however as to why there are only V8i webinars, and nothing on MicroStation CONNECT. I would think Bentley would want to promote the CONNECT version and encourage uses to migrate by demonstrating tools and capabilities found there.
Are there plans to have MicroStation SIG webinars on features in MicroStation CONNECT?
Hi, everyone.
I'm using Microstation Connect Edition. There's a discrepancy between using the key-in command (change element extended) and clicking in the tool at the ribbon for the "Change Element Attribute".
Here's where the tool is located in the ribbon (Home tab):
If we click on the "Change Element Attribute" button, we get this window (which is what is expected):
However, if we use the key-in command "change element extended" in the Key-in bar. This is what appears (unexpected):
And we can set anything up with this window.
Now, does anyone know why this happen and how to fix this? The online help menu states that the key-in is correct for that tool (see here). Does the actual ribbon tool use a different key-in command?

Is there a way to Import Images into PowerDraft, the same way as done by MicroStation? (File - Import - Images)
It seems that this is unavailable in PowerDraft but available in MicroStation. We have the need to add images to our Designs but Rasters are not working for us due to our Document Storage System. Once its imported, the file looses the links to the Images.

When ever I try to create a link between Excel and Microstation using the "Linked to Design File" tool, I get the attached pop up.
I just updated from MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 2) to MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 4) and that's when I started to have the issue.
Every time I try to update or insert a new link from an excel sheet (while I have it open) it will give me the same issue.
Any possible answers?

I already purchase 1 MicroStation consist with:
1) 1 CD for MicroStation CONNECT Edition (Full) x64 Update 5
I already installed the software at my old Laptop, but after 6 Month, my old laptop was working in slow condition. So, I just purchase one new laptop with better performance.
The problem is, I cannot use my MicroStation at my new laptop after 7 days.
I installed a MicroStation software at my new laptop, but after 7 days I cannot use it. I open the Licenses Tools and shows licenses expired.
May someone help me How to install a MicroStation at my new laptop, and what I should do at my old laptop.
If possible I need all step by step for make this working.
